Tis the season of past newborns becoming big siblings!  It seems like just yesterday that this little lady was a newborn in my studio, and now she’s such a good big sister!

Tell us your story:  My husband and I are high school sweethearts, and we have been married almost 7 years now. We have a beautiful 2 and a half year old daughter and now a sweet little baby boy. I feel blessed to say that both of my labors were quick and relatively easy!

How did you choose your baby’s name?  We named our son Logan Michael. Logan was a name we both have liked for a long time, however it took is a long time to finally settle on his name. His middle name, Michael, is also my husbands middle name which he got from his dad.

Who do you think your little one looks like most?  As of now, I think our son looks most like my sister’s oldest son. But of course, every family member has a different opinion so I really think we will have to wait and see!

What is your favorite part about having your baby here with you?  My favorite part of having my son here is just having those newborn snuggles again. I also love seeing our daughter as a big sister, and I am so looking forward to seeing the two of them interact more as Logan gets older.

Any tips for making your hospital stay more comfortable? Was there anything that you did to prepare your for delivery, or that you felt helped you during labor?  I am a minimalist, so for me I felt at peace just taking as little as possible to the hospital – less to stress about! Just a comfy set of clothes to go home in, and my camera! I didn’t really do much to prepare for my labor because I assumed it was going to be pretty quick – and thankfully I was right! I was a lot more active during my second pregnancy, and I feel like that may have helped me bounce back a little quicker this time around.

How are you adjusting to multiple kids? Any tips for preparing an older sibling for a new baby?  I feel like the adjustments we have made as a family have been a lot smoother going from 1 to 2 kids, than it was for us to be first time parents. The second time around you already know what to expect, and you just don’t stress as much. Our daughter has done so well welcoming our son into the family. When I was pregnant, I had as many conversations as I could with her about her new brother. We talked about him every day. I also believe baby dolls really help. Pretend play is a great way to prepare a toddler for the real thing.

Favorite baby related funny story:   Being a minimalist, I have been in denial a little bit about the need to carry a diaper bag again. Our first few times back at church I just took a diaper for Logan in my purse. Well, when he was about three weeks old, I had to change his diaper before we left the nursery. He ended up peeing all over himself, his outfit, his blanket, and ruined a few diapers as I was trying to do damage control. Thankfully our church nursery had extra clothes, diapers, and a blanket for him to go home in. Needless to say…I now reluctantly carry a diaper bag!

Tell us your story:  Brooklyn Grace joined our family on May 4, 2015 at 4:00 pm. She weighed 7lbs and 14oz and was 19 inches long. She is perfect!

How did you choose your baby’s name?  My middle name is Brooke and I always wanted that to be my first name. I decided if I ever had a girl her name would be Brooklyn.

Who do you think your little one looks like most?  I can’t really tell yet. She looks like her own little person right now.

What is your favorite part about having your baby here with you?  Our family is complete and Carter has a little sister to grow up with. Im so thankful for two healthy babies.

How are you adjusting to multiple kids? Brooklyn has been a really easy baby. All she does is sleep and eat. Carter loves his baby sister. He likes to rub her head and give her kisses.

Tell us your story:  We got Married almost three years ago and welcomed our first baby boy into the world Almost 2 years ago. We wanted Carter to have a sibling that was close in age. Although we would be happy if we were having a boy or girl we were hoping for a little girl to complete our family and that is what God blessed us with.

How did you find out that you were pregnant?  What was your reaction?  Well we were trying and I was taking pregnancy tests regularly and they were always negative. One day I took one and didn’t wait the three minutes and just sat it in the trash because it didn’t immediately say positive. Chris saw it on top of the trash and it said Pregnant!

How was this this pregnancy compared with your last?  How was being pregnant with a toddler running around?  This pregnancy was a lot harder. My first pregnancy was a breeze. Having a toddler running around takes a lot out of you!

What are you looking forward to most about bring another baby home?  I am excited to have our family together, Brooklyn is the perfect piece that completes our family!
